Jon Paul is a seasoned veteran with public cannabis companies. In 2021, Jon became CFO of Australis Capital (CSE: AUSA OTCQB: AUSAF) dba Audacious, an emerging multi-state operator (MSO) based in Las Vegas. Jon helped complete several acquisitions, restructured operations, rebuilt the finance team, and laid the foundation for Audacious to continue to grow across the country. Jon entered the cannabis industry by accident in 2018, recruited to take Plus Products, a leading edibles brand in California, public in a tight schedule to keep the family from losing half their equity. During his two years there, Jon helped Plus raise $47 million in capital, grow the revenue run rate to $20 million and reduce the operating quarterly cash burn to breakeven. Although Jon had no prior experience in cannabis, he quickly developed an extensive network of connections and solved the challenges we face in this industry such as cash, banking, taxes, insurance, and regulations. Prior to joining Plus, Jon spent his career as CFO/consultant helping hypergrowth entrepreneurs reach their dreams in a variety of industries. Five clients became very profitable and later sold at handsome multiples to strategic or financial buyers. After getting a BS-Accounting at the University of Illinois and becoming a CPA, he began his career at Arthur Andersen, then earned a Harvard MBA before venturing into the entrepreneurial world.
