Owen earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2015, followed by a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2018. Licensed to practice across all Texas jurisdictions and federal district courts, Owen's legal acumen is well-recognized.

He is a frequent speaker on topics such as Anti-SLAPP litigation and Dodd-Frank Section 1071, and he has co-authored numerous authoritative articles on collection practices and financial regulations.
