A Message from our President – June 2018

Well, it’s hurricane season now and time for us to be planning that long-awaited summer vacation. We have one more networking event this program year on June 20th at Brio Tuscan Grille, covering a very timely topic: Blockchain. We hope to see you all there as we close out this program year with another great event.

Our May event at Masonite in Ybor City was absolutely amazing and a great resource for any company considering the move to an “open concept” workplace. For those who weren’t able to make it, be sure to check out the photos from the event that highlight some of the incredible spaces in their office. In May, we also had several of our Board Members attend the FEI National Conference in Houston. FEI had well over 500 members in attendance and it was great to share best practices and ideas with other chapters. Next year’s event will be in Orlando in May – so mark your calendars and be on the lookout for some exciting innovative programs next fall.

Finally, as we wrap up another great program year – I wanted to thank several folks for making the Tampa Bay Chapter one of the best in the country. First, thank you to our Chapter Administrator Denise Parker who keeps us all in line and organized. Second, much appreciation goes to our Sponsors who continue to be great partners. Without them, we would not have the strong chapter that we do today! Third, I am very grateful of my fellow Board Members and committee volunteers who go above and beyond to make the Tampa Chapter fun and relevant.

And last but not least, thanks to you, the members, for your active participation, great questions at our networking events, continued suggestions on how we can improve, and sharing the benefits with all that are involved in the chapter.

Have a great summer and as always, we welcome your comments, suggestions, and participation. I look forward to seeing you at our June event.
