How does your company provide value to finance executives in the Tampa Bay area?

As a commercial real estate agent, many of my clients are professional service companies. I report to the company’s C-suite, specifically catering to the CFO and the bottom line of how much the office lease transaction will cost. Whether it’s a new office space, expansion or consolidation, relocation, or operating expense analysis, I am equipped with the skills, knowledge and tools to intelligently assess your space requirements.

Tell us a little bit about your career, educational/professional background and how you got to where you are today.

I started my career at Colliers in 2008, at the start of the Great Recession. I had a laser-focused goal of becoming a top-producing sales agent, specifically performing the leasing and selling of office properties in the Tampa Bay area. But at that time, Colliers was only hiring for a marketing position, so I gladly took the role and used it as a steppingstone to learn the trade.

In 2012, I got my break into brokerage. I was going door-to-door in 2015 and solicited an 86,000-square-foot office user who hired my team as their tenant representative. From that client, I earned the title of Top Producer, and had the largest office lease transaction in 2016. I also completed eight other office leases throughout the nation with that company and the executives associated with it.

Since then, I have completed over $300 million in transactions, totaling more than 5 million square feet in office space.

Do you think it takes a certain kind of personality to thrive in your field? What traits are most important?

Qualities to survive in the commercial real estate industry are not always learned or taught in an educational setting. Throughout the 18 years I’ve been in this industry, I’ve learned that hard work, perseverance, knowledge, and dedication can prove solid results.

What are some activities you participate in to advance the profession or your career?

I am a first-year Co-Leader and Cookie Manager for my daughter’s Girl Scout Daisy troop. While managing 18 young girls is no small feat, it is rewarding, and I get an opportunity to instill the sales tactics I’ve learned into my daughter.

What is a quote or phrase that you live by?

In my professional career, I live by the quote “Everything’s a guaranteed NO, unless you ask!”
