Achieving effective ICSR
On March 30, 2023, the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) released supplemental guidance on achieving effective internal control over sustainability reporting (ICSR), based on the COSO integrated framework. Crowe ESG Services Leader Chris McClure contributed to and is quoted in the report.

EU carbon tax
On April 18, 2023, the European Parliament approved legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The legislation includes the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, which adds a carbon tax on certain imports to the European Union (EU).
