A Message From Our President - October 2021

As we begin our new programming year, I am beyond pleased that we were finally able to have our first in-person event after being virtual since February of 2020. We had a wonderful presentation on October 13 at Intralytix, a biotechnology company that focuses on development and commercialization of bacteriophage-based, natural “green” based antibacterial products.

While we had an amazing list of virtual events over the last eighteen months, it felt great to be back to what makes this such a worthwhile organization. The ability to network, socialize and at the same time learn about a business in the area is what brought me to this organization several years ago and continues to amaze me. As do the wonderful organizations in the area, most of which I knew little about until our events.

I need to again thank our sponsors and Joe Wendel for their hard work and persistence in making sure we could keep in touch and support our membership with virtual events. Now that we are back, a number of new events are on the calendar and several more in the early stages of being scheduled. Keep an eye out for those announcements and I hope to see you all at the upcoming events.

As many of you already know, FEI has reduced the fees it charges. Membership fees have been reduced from the previous $425 to $299.  I hope that will make the decision to renew your membership much easier going forward. We can promise you will find your membership to be a worthwhile experience and as always, we strive to exceed your expectations.

I also want to encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources that FEI offers as part of your membership. And reach out to your fellow members or chapter sponsors if they can be of assistance to you. From making introductions to helping you navigate the path to reopening your business, we are here to help each other.

Best Regards,

Kevin
