Rehana Anait

Rehana Anait began her career at the UK Regulator - The Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2000 where she successfully assisted with development of the supervisory risk assessment framework. She then spent a number of years examining a portfolio of 13 banking and capital markets institutions for compliance with regulatory requirements. She joined the PwC London Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) Regulatory Practice in 2005 where she led the delivery of large regulatory compliance and conduct risk projects both locally and across Europe these included re-engineering compliance functions, integrating conduct risk into operating models and providing clients with regulatory advice.

Ms. Anait then rotated into PwC London’s Internal Audit (IA) practice where she successfully managed and delivered multiple outsourcing and co-sourcing contracts to both mid-tier and large banks. She became an expert in IA Quality Assurance Reviews and Global Audit Methodology Transformation projects through assisting a number of large multinational Tier 1 Banks. She transitioned into the London B&CM Business Resilience team as a Director where she successfully led the delivery of a large multi-million Interest Rate Hedging Products mi-selling exercise for a global bank with regular formal reporting to the UK Regulator for 2 years. During this time she also led the development of the Transaction Reporting (MiFID and EMIR) proposition, established PwC’s presence in the market with clients and was part of the culture and behaviors team.

Ms. Anait moved to live and work in New York in October 2015 joining PwC New York’s Internal Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Practice. As a Partner, in her 3 + years in New York she has worked with multiple GSIBs and regional banks on Culture and Conduct, Regulatory Remediation, IA co-sourcing and IA External Quality Reviews, and BCBS 239 data analytics and reporting projects. She is a leader of PwC New York’s Conduct and Culture Practice.
