Peter Sturgeon joined Sorenson Capital in 2006. He focuses on investment opportunities in key industries of interest to the firm where he has strong experience, including energy and software. He is based in Arizona, building relationships with great companies across the state. Peter enjoys studying and discussing the success factors of entrepreneurship and believes that a strong, positive company culture is a key ingredient of success. He has a passion for coaching great management teams from inception to maturity and beyond.
Prior to joining the firm, Peter was an associate with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked in the oil and gas, transportation, and power generation industries.
Peter earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
