Ms. Christy Philen

Christy Philen, formerly Christy Petty, is a Certified Treasury Professional with over twenty years of treasury and financial services experience. She currently heads up the Treasury department for the Trusts at “Ben”, which specializes in providing liquidity to individual and institutional investors in alternative assets. Here she is helping develop and manage electronic cash transactions, risk mitigation and policy structures. She also serves on the company’s Community Outreach Task Force to help others.
 
Prior to Beneficient, Christy served as Assistant Treasurer at Panda Power Funds, a private equity firm focused on clean energy, for over three years. Before joining Panda, she was a Director and Corporate Treasurer for Omni Hotels & Resorts at their headquarters in Dallas for over eight years. Other former employers in her financial services journey were Centex Home Equity, HD Vest (a Wells Fargo company) and Bank of America.
 
As a professional in financial services, Christy also maintains active memberships within the local community serving on the boards of FEI Dallas, the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals and the Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations. She is greatly motivated by service efforts as well and has accepted a position on the Dallas Area American Cancer Society Board.
 
Starting her career in financial services and banking, she passed the Series 7 and 66 FINRA exams in securities before transitioning into treasury management. Christy received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University, College Station, and holds the Certified Treasury Professional designation sponsored by AFP and an Advanced Marketing Certificate from SMU, Cox School of Business in Dallas.
