Patrick A. Lopez, CPA, CGMA, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at KLRN, the PBS member station serving San Antonio and south central Texas. He oversees the financial, information technology, human resource, and building and administrative areas. He is also the Assistant Treasurer for both Alamo Public Telecommunications Council, the licensee for KLRN, and the KLRN Endowment Fund, Inc. He has been in public broadcasting for 25 years. Prior to KLRN, he worked for the accounting firm Ernst & Young, L.L.P and with a Fortune 500 retailer.
He currently serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Texas Public Broadcasting Association, Chair of the Investment Committee of the Texas Society of CPA’s, Trustee of the Texas Society of CPA’s Insurance Trust, and Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 285 in San Antonio, Texas. He previously served as Chair and Treasurer of Public Media Business Association (formerly Public Broadcasting Management Association), 2016 Diamond Back District Friends of Scouting Chair and Board Member of the Texas Society of CPA’s Educational Foundation.
Mr. Lopez holds a BBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio; is a CPA, CGMA and Fellow, Life Management Institute. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s (TSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In 2012, he was recognized in the San Antonio Business Journal’s Best CFO Awards, nonprofit category.
