Mr. Adam Boland

Adam Boland focuses his practice on representing employers in all aspects of employment law. He advises and defends clients in federal and state employment-related lawsuits and agency claims, including actions involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.
 
Adam’s experience includes representing employers in cases involving employee theft of trade secrets, non-compete agreements, defamation, fraud, business interference and violation of fiduciary duties by an employee to his/her employer.
 
While managing a successful litigation practice that includes defending employers in trials and in arbitration proceedings, Adam also provides advice to employers concerning
litigation avoidance,
wage and hour laws,
leaves of absence,
employee discipline,
hiring and termination issues,
privacy claims,
reductions in force, and
other issues arising in the human resources context.
 
Additionally, Adam has extensive experience managing comprehensive Fair Labor Standards Act audits for employers of all sizes. Adam is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Obtained summary judgment in Southern District of Texas in favor of national call center in suit brought by former employee alleging failure to accommodate, disability discrimination and retaliation.
 
Obtained summary judgment in Western District of Texas in favor of national manufacturing employer in suit brought by former employee alleging disability discrimination.
 
Obtained affirmation of summary judgment from Fifth Circuit in favor of employer in suit brought by former warden alleging claims of age, sex, race and national origin discrimination, retaliation and hostile work environment.
 
Obtained jury verdict in Western District of Texas in favor of employer in suit brought by former employee alleging race discrimination and retaliation.
 
Obtained summary judgment in Western District of Texas in favor of employer in suit brought by former employee alleging FMLA violations and retaliation.
 
Obtained summary judgment in Southern District of Texas in favor of national institute of higher education in suit brought by former employee alleging age discrimination under the Texas Labor Code.
 
Obtained summary judgment in Southern District of Texas in favor of correctional institution in suit filed by employee alleging age, sex, race and national origin discrimination, and retaliation under the Texas Labor Code.
