Ms. Marguerite Duprieu

Marguerite is a Director in PwC’s Financial Markets Practice focusing on the valuation and accounting issues of derivatives, complex structured products, and fixed income products. She has applied her knowledge of complex financial instruments in both a regulatory and accounting change environment as well as through valuation and transaction engagements. She serves banking, asset management, and insurance institutions as well as treasury functions of non-financial institutions. Before joining PwC, Marguerite was a technical assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) where she conducted research, moderated stakeholder outreach, and presented accounting views and alternatives to the board as part of the accounting standard setting process.
 

Relevant experience

  • Bringing together insights as a core team member of PwC’s global Reference Rate Reform working group, working with clients across the network with respect to IBOR and Reference Rate Reform programs
  • Assisting corporate treasuries in identifying and hedging interest rate exposure in a manner that achieves risk management objectives and qualifies for hedge accounting under U.S. GAAP
  • Assisting clients in performing debt modification vs extinguishment analyses for debt amendments and true sale and consolidation analyses for securitization transactions
  • Advising market participants on valuation methodologies for derivatives including credit value adjustments (CVA)
  • Coordinating across finance, credit, model development, and legal functions to assist clients in large scale implementations due to accounting and/or regulatory change such as ASU 2016-13, Current Expected Credit Losses
  • Assisting bank holding companies in the development and application of US GAAP accounting policies
