Emily Lamm

Emily Maxim Lamm is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Her practice has a dual focus on artificial intelligence (AI) matters and employment litigation, counseling, and investigations. Emily has been recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Labor and Employment Law – Management.

 

Leveraging her deep knowledge of rapidly evolving AI-related laws, regulations, and frameworks, Emily helps companies develop a strategic and practical approach to crafting and implementing AI policies, programs, and legal risk mitigation strategies. Emily has worked directly with a leading cloud service provider to develop an international compliance plan for cutting-edge AI and machine-learning tools, including large language models. She has also advised AI developers and deployers across industries regarding compliance with the CCPA/CPRA, the EU AI Act, New York City’s Local Law 144, the Illinois AI Video Interview Act, and other federal, state, and international AI, employment, and data protection laws. Emily is a thought leader in this space, regularly speaking and writing on AI issues in employment. She also serves on the Advisory Council of the Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL).
