Jonathan Godfrey serves as senior vice president and senior commercial banker (Tennessee). In this role, he will be responsible for leading the commercial middle market banking efforts for the state of Tennessee, to include helping companies structure financing, efficiently manage capital and navigate variable market conditions while focusing on profitable business development and serving an extensive existing portfolio of companies with annual gross revenues of $30-$500 million.
Jonathan joined Fifth Third Bank in 2008 and has held a variety of leadership roles to include commercial middle market team leader, East TN regional market executive, commercial relationship manager, and retail district manager. Prior to joining Fifth Third he held several market leadership roles in banking.
Jonathan earned a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in Finance and Marketing. He earned an MBA from Milligan College.
Jonathan serves on the Nashville Downtown Partnership and Nashville Sports Council board of directors. He is a member of the Leadership Nashville Class of 2022. Previously he served on the board or advisory committees for the Boys and Girls Club, Junior League of Knoxville, March of Dimes and United Way.
He and wife, Leslie A. Godfrey enjoy traveling, endurance sports, boating and attempting to train Jaxie their puppy.
