Erick Torres, a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Long Island office, has over 15 years of experience providing tax planning and consulting services. As part of the Tax Practice, he advises clients in several industries, including apparel, food services. technology, and manufacturing and distribution.
Erick advises his clients on federal, state, and local tax planning strategies and issue resolution. As a member of the firm’s Corporate & Tax Provision Technical Services group, he is responsible for assuring his client’s Income Tax Provisions are compliant with the US GAAP, as interpreted by ASC 740. He also has experience in consulting on mergers and acquisitions, partner/shareholder buyouts, and reorganizations.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Erick co-managed the tax operations of a New York-based accounting and consulting firm where he was active in the firm’s continuing education program.
Education includes: Certified Public Accountant, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, St. John’s University and Master of Science in Taxation, St. John’s University
Erick is a member of the Fathers United Now (F.U.N.) group for Jericho Elementary School. Erick is also a Big Brother volunteer for Big Brother, Big Sister on Long Island.
