Aoifa O'Donnell

Aoifa (ee-fa) O’Donnell, LCSW is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of National EAP, Inc.  Since 2008, Aoifa has carved out a market niche for National EAP defining the company for its superior employee turnaround services and trainings programs.   National EAP clients rave about the concierge level response and strategic partnership they experience to drive down high risk and high cost employee issues within their workplace.

As a leading expert in the EAP industry, Aoifa is passionate about delivering high level business solutions that markedly improve the workplace of local and national business clients. In January 2015, National EAP expanded and launched the National EAP Leadership Center. The Center has become quickly known for its two day Leadership Masterclass and corporate retreat facilitation.

An experienced trainer and public speaker for corporations and industry conferences, Aoifa has been featured in several articles in local and national publications such as TIME, Long Island Business News, Pulse, Newsday and HR Benefit News, where she addressed topics such as workplace violence, suicide prevention, substance abuse prevalence and more. In 2011, Aoifa was honored with Long Island Business News’ prestigious 40 Under 40 Award and received the 2012 Human Services/EAP Award from the Caron Foundation.  In 2014, Aoifa was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Athena Leadership Award.

Prior to joining National EAP, Aoifa worked in a combination of clinical and administrative positions, starting her career as a researcher for Stony Brook University, conducting a Suffolk County Needs Assessment. Upon its completion, she transferred to direct client care, working as a therapist with children and families in several settings and held administrative positions, including Director of the Link Program (a crisis intervention program to avert psychiatric hospitalization) for the largest mental health organization in Suffolk County, The Pederson-Krag Center.

Aoifa serves as an Advisory Board member for Adelphi University’s College of Nursing, is an Athena Member and is co-chair of the HIA-LI Human Resources Committee.  Aoifa previously held positions as co-chair of the HIA-LI Healthcare Committee and Mom-mentum Corporate Committee, responsible for the delivery of the annual Women’s Leadership Conference.  An avid supporter of Long Island non-profits, she is the co-founder of a local charity called Rayanna’s Arms, a group that sponsors financially struggling families and children for the holidays.  Aoifa holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in social welfare and has earned credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
