Cathy Tompkins

Cathy Tompkins is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Foreword, a leadership development and strategy consulting firm located in Oklahoma City. She is a transformational C-suite level executive with more than 30 years of experience inside Fortune 500 companies and a passion for helping individuals and organizations achieve positive outcomes through healthy organizational dynamics, strong business processes, and value-add enabling technology.

Cathy is an engaging and collaborative leader who coaches, mentors, and develops talent as the most essential asset in any organization. She has been recognized as an award-winning CIO who has guided organizations through periods of significant change to achieve their strategic objectives and now leverages this wealth of experience to specialize in leadership and organizational development and technology advisory services.

Some of Cathy's recognitions and achievements throughout her career include Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Oil and Gas, CIO Insight 100 Most Influential CIO's, CIO Transformers List, Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader, Computerworld Best Places to Work, and the Information Systems Leaders of Oklahoma (ISLOK) Lifetime Achievement award.

Ms. Tompkins is active in various IT and industry associations and boards that share her commitment to representing the interests of the industry, shaping the future of the IT profession, advancing women in leadership and technology, and promoting inclusion and diversity.  Cathy currently serves on the advisory board and as a founding member of the Greater Oklahoma chapter of Women's Energy Network (WEN), the advisory board of start-up digital technology and IT advisory firm Innate Intelligence, the board of trustees for Heritage Hall college preparatory school where she chairs the Committee on Trustees and participates on the Finance Committee, and as an adjunct professor of MIS at The University of Oklahoma.

Cathy is frequently asked to speak on topics ranging from executive leadership, digital transformation, STEM, women in business, and women in technology. Cathy is dedicated to helping organizations and individuals achieve their objectives through a supportive and inclusive approach.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Alabama.
