Allen Wronowski

PGA Past President Allen Wronowski served as the 37th President of the PGA of America from November 2010-12, following two years each as PGA Vice President and PGA Secretary. On Nov. 22, 2014, Wronowski was extended a second two-year term as PGA Honorary President by the PGA Board of Directors.

A member of the PGA Golf Professional Hall of Fame, Wronowski is the Director of Golf Relations for the Folds of Honor Foundation. The Foundation was established ten years ago to provide scholarships for the children and spouses of those men and women who have worn the uniform and been killed or disabled on active duty.

Wronowski is the former PGA director of member and player development at Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md., a facility he worked at for 34 years-beginning as an assistant professional, then PGA head professional, before being named PGA director of golf.

Wronowski's record of service to the Association includes a term as District 10 Director on the national PGA Board from 2000-04, when he demonstrated his passion to enhance player development. As PGA President, Wronowski oversaw the launch of Golf 2.0, the industry's groundbreaking growth-of-the-game initiative. He is an advocate of promoting the core values of PGA Professionals and their impact upon junior golf, minorities and diversity.

He was the chair for the 2009-10 PGA Professional National Championship, 2007-10 Junior PGA Championships and PGA Board of Control. He has served as chair of the PGA Youth Player Development Committee; and as a board member for both The First Tee and PGA Tour Policy Board. Also, served on 10 Masters Rules Committees, 5 US Open Rules Committees, official party of 5 Ryder Cups and 2 President Cups.

A native of Baltimore, Wronowski fell in love with the game of golf as a high school junior, so much so that he eventually decided to turn professional in 1976. He now resides in Bel Air, MD with wife Gail. He has two stepchildren and two grandchildren
