As the baby boomer generation approaches retirement, many founders of closely-held businesses and their investors are seeking an exit through the sale of their business.  As these businesses enter the M&A marketplace, owners and CFOs are discovering the highly competitive landscape as competitors, roll-ups, institutional investors, and private equity buyers compete for the best opportunities.
