Pooled Employer Plans Led by Byron Beebe
The SECURE Act passed in late 2019. This critical legislation was designed to promote a more efficient 401(k) delivery model in the US. Since the beginning of 2021, employers no longer need to sponsor their own 401(k) plans. Instead, employers are now allowed to pool resources together to create more leverage in the market and deliver better results for their employees and minimize risks for fiduciary committees. Joining a Pooled Employer Plan, or PEP, has many advantages.
Key Takeaways:
Attendees will learn how Pooled Employer Plans will result in:
- Lower costs and improved retirement outcomes for employees
- Less risk for plan fiduciaries
- Less work for HR teams
11:00 - 11:50 AM Professional Development presented by Sisterson: 1.0 credit of CPE
Tax and Accounting: Pandemic and Beyond Led by Joe Nicola and Brian Kuczinski
If we have learned anything from the pandemic, it’s that change is inevitable. Sometimes, this change can occur overnight (remember March 13, 2020?). Although it has been a long road, there is light at the end of the tunnel. As we move forward and out of the pandemic, there are new matters to consider relating to tax and accounting. Join Joe Nicola and Brian Kuczinski of Sisterson & Co. LLP as they discuss how the following may impact your business.
· PPP and Section 1112 loans, the Consolidated Appropriation Act and recent IRS guidance
· President Biden’s corporate, individual and global tax proposals
· Accounting and auditing issues including leases, loan forgiveness and new reporting formats
· Pandemic concerns related to cybersecurity, internal control structure, etc.
· Work environment, human resource policies
