“Technology Concerns That Should Be Addressed in Your Company’s Employee Handbook”

GUEST SPEAKER:  Erin Green, President, Verify! ​

This presentation aims to provide basic provisions that should be addressed in a company’s employee handbook, pertaining to cellular device management.  During this session, you will be provided with a white paper that outlines some considerations as we talk through the advantages and disadvantages of a company’s policy regarding BYOD vs. employer provided devices.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Clear understanding of the pros and cons of BYOD

  • Network security concerns pertaining to BYOD

  • Basic device care

  • Personal usage of cellular phone on company time

  • Outline of consequences of misuse of company provided devices

  • How to handle employer issued devices when an employee separates from the company

CANCELLATION

To cancel a registration, contact Nancy Ehlers.  Forty-eight “business” hours notice is requested for cancellation.  Fees will be refunded upon request given that cancellation is received at least 48 business hours prior to the event.   We recognize that plans can change at the last minute; however, as good stewards of our chapter finances we ask your help in controlling expenses due to last-minute cancellations and no‑shows.
