Rick Nord is the supervisor of the KY Electronic Crimes Task Force, joining the Louisville Field Office in 2008.
 
Originally assigned to the Washington Field Office, Rick joined USSS Headquarters in 2004, where he served as a Critical Infrastructure Specialist. 
  
Since then, Rick has served as a technical advance agent responsible for securing venues prior to a protectee's arrival from various threats.
  
From 2006 to 2008, Rick served as the USSS Counterintelligence Program Manager responsible for training agents and officers to prevent adversaries from obtaining information from USSS protective methodology.

You are invited to attend FEI Louisville's special cyber security presentation over lunch at the Louisville Water Tower. The event is free for FEI members and sponsors; the cost for non-members is $45. 
 
Rick Nord, the agent in charge of the cyber crimes unit in Kentucky,  will discuss current Cybercrime Trends, with special attention to Kentucky and Southern Indiana; ways to protect yourself and your business; and how to report suspicious activity or intrusions. CPE availability is pending.  
 
Rick, who has been with the U.S. Secret Service since 2000, earned his Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration and Masters of Public Administration from the University of Louisville. 
 
Event parking is free.
