Current Trends in Financial Fraud

While fraudulent activity in the corporate arena takes many forms—from asset misappropriation, internal corruption to financial statement misreporting—the effects of fraud can have significant financial impact on the corporate culture and balance sheet.  For this reason, detecting the warning signs that increases the risk for fraudulent activity is essential.  This program will discuss the various forms of fraud that impact corporate accountants, and will highlight the signs and “shenanigans” that increase risk of improper conduct.

Attendees will learn about the various forms of fraud that impact the office of the CFO and will highlight other areas of concern that increase the risk of improper conduct.

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
