FEI President’s Letter

It is difficult to believe we are half way through this FEI season.  Our meeting on November 8th, was quite eventful.    We recognized three distinguished members during this meeting, all of whom are past Presidents.   The role of Chapter President is a position that is usually not a coveted position, but one that many members have felt a sense of honor and duty to take on.  I want to recognize the newest member of the prestigious group of Past Presidents, Tom Scare.  Thank you, Tom, for the many years of membership and Board participation.  Specifically, thank you for the last two years of leading our FEI Chapter.   In 1987 FEI National created an esteemed group of members who are recognized when their membership reaches 25 years, 40 years, and 50 years. This group is called the Key Club and we have two new members. Dave Cole joined our Chapter in 1992, was chapter president from 2003 to 2005 and then 10 years later from 2013 to 2015.  As of this year, 2017, he has been a member for 25 years.  Dave Bobilya joined our Chapter in 1977 and was a chapter president over the season between 1991 and 1992.  He has been a member for 40 years.  Thank you both for your long standing dedication to and involvement in our chapter.   The Keynote speaker for the evening was our National FEI President, Andrej Suskavcevic. Andrej spent a lot of time talking about all of the services offered by FEI National, which it seemed like most people found benefit in learning.     As an additional benefit, Andrej attended our chapter Board meeting the morning following this meeting and gave us great feedback and best practices regarding our Chapter meetings. Matt Fortney
