A Message From Our President - November 2019

As I begin my term as President of the FEI Baltimore Chapter, I realize I have some big shoes to fill following the leadership of John McLean over the past few years. Fortunately, I have a strong board and chapter sponsors that will help continue our past success and allow the chapter to grow over the next year.

We have entered the year with another impressive list of planned events and several more in the works. Our first meeting at the Baltimore Zoo was a great success with a strong turnout and an insightful presentation by Don Hutchinson. We followed that with an event at Strategic Factory in October where CEO and Owner, Keith Miller walked us through his story of taking a small startup printing operation to the current operation. Today, Strategic Factory has 150 employees and provides a comprehensive suite of services that include marketing, graphic design, signage, promotional products and customized apparel.

I want to encourage all of our members to be active, attend our monthly events and support the chapter. I believe this is the premier group in the region for finance leaders to meet and exchange ideas, build networks, and learn about businesses and organizations that help drive our city and surrounding counties.

I also would ask that our current members and sponsors continue to identify new prospective members that would benefit from being part of FEI. As you’ll see in our newsletter, FEI is currently running a promotion to encourage current members to do just that. Take advantage of this while you can.

Lastly, I would like to announce that Kim Davis, Chief Accounting Officer of Versant Health has been elected to the Board. We are happy to have such a dynamic and energetic addition to our leadership team.

I look forward to another great year with FEI Baltimore. Thank you in advance for your continued involvement and support of the chapter.

Kevin Ridgely
