Please join us as Corinne Kneis, Psychotherapist at Arundel Psychological Associates, provides a lesson on Positive Psychology and Psychological Wellness in the workplace. Corinne will teach you practices based on the latest behavioral research to help you increase work satisfaction, build upon your inherent strengths, and thrive in your career.
 
Corinne earned her Master of Education (EdM) and Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Corinne graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Clinical Psychology from Towson University. Corinne’s clinical experience combined with her vigorous educational background make her an ideal clinician and teacher of psychology. Corinne has worked with clients of all ages struggling with various emotional challenges, mental illnesses, physical/intellectual disabilities, and chronic/terminal illnesses. She has facilitated group psychotherapy on topics of Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Mental Wellness, and Coping Skills. Corinne taught Positive Psychology at Columbia University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
 
Learning Objectives:
  • Learn how to apply the PERMA Theory of Well-Being in the workplace: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning Accomplishment (Martin E. Seligman, 2011)
  • Discover how evidence-based Positive Psychology practices can be applied to increase your career satisfaction and overall happiness: Mindfulness, Compassion, Self Compassion, Gratitude, Flow, Character Strengths, Positive Reframing, Finding meaning, Human connection
  • Learn the basics of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reframe negative thoughts about aspects of your career and gain an optimistic perspective about your inherent potential
 
Breakout Room Objectives:

Throughout the event, you will participate in breakout groups to:
  • Discuss ideas with peers to gain and share new perspectives about increasing employee wellbeing
  • Explore how to implement Positive Psychology strategies to increase your work satisfaction, build a better work environment, and reach your highest career potential
