Breakfast Event at Maryland Center for History and Culture

FEI Baltimore Chapter is excited to announce our next event will be held at the Maryland Center for History and Culture (Formerly the Maryland Historical Society).

The Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) was founded in 1844 and is the oldest continuously operating nonprofit cultural institution in Maryland.

MCHC houses over 7 million books, documents, manuscripts and photographs (including the original star spangled banner) and over 350,000 objects of which over 1,000 are on display (including paintings of George Washington & his Generals and the Excavation of the Mastodon)  in the 15 permanent and rotating exhibit galleries.

The library and museum is a treasure trove of historical items that is the first stop for those researching the history of Maryland as well as school learning field trips.

Come and hear a presentation on the history and mission of MCHC. A tour of the complex will also be given to those in attendance.

This is one of the most significant cultural institutions in Maryland and promises to be an eye opening experience for those that attend.

In an effort to rejuvenate the chapter post COVID, the event will be free to all current and former FEI members and we will allow any CFO to attend as a guest for this meeting.

Agenda:  7:30 AM – 8:10 AM Breakfast | 8:10 AM - 9:00 AM Presentation | 9:00 AM -10:00 AM Tour

Attendees will be welcome to stay and explore further on their own after the tour if desired.
