Baltimore: "The CEO - CFO Speaker Series" Featuring Jensen Hughes

Founded in 1980, Jensen Hughes, Inc. is a global company headquartered in Baltimore, MD. As one of the largest fire protection and life safety engineering and consulting firms with offices worldwide, Jensen Hughes is able to provide the support and responsiveness their clients need. Their technical experts stay on the cutting edge of evolving fire and life safety codes and regulations. They are able to provide timely and accurate consulting and design services as well as, remain committed to providing their clients with cost-effective, high quality services that are crucial to the protection of life, property, and the environment.

In October 2016, Jensen Hughes began a comprehensive transformation of accounting and finance capabilities to deliver higher quality support to the business.  In this session you will learn how Jensen Hughes financial leadership focuses on talent management as the catalyst for improved results and cultural change.

Highlights include:
  • The talent management process (and it IS a process): attraction, selection, development and retention with an ongoing emphasis on engagement.
  • Less emphasis on XYZ generational labels and more emphasis on data and what people say is important to them in a candidate’s market.
  • Focus on measuring and delivering outcomes AND having fun!

The evening will include a 10 minute fire test that will demonstrate the phenomena known as “flashover” whereby all combustible materials in a small room simultaneously ignite when sufficient heat accumulates within the room geometry.
