Baltimore: "The CEO-CFO Speaker Series" Featuring Lutheran World Relief

 "Living in a Global World"

Featuring Former Ambassador to Greece, Daniel Speckhard
President and CEO of the Lutheran World Relief

"If we have learned anything from living in our increasingly globalized world, it is that no community or nation stands in isolation.  For better or worse, we are all connected.  This makes our existence on this planet simultaneously more creative, more dynamic, more complex and more dangerous. Inevitably, what goes on 'over there' will somehow affect us 'here'."

As former U.S. Ambassador to Greece and Belarus, Speckhard has had a long and distinguished career in government service under both Republican and Democratic administrations.  His previous positions have included serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary General at NATO and Deputy Chief of Mission in Iraq; he has also served as Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution.  Immediately prior to joining LWR, he was a senior advisor to Palantir Technologies, a Silicon Valley company at the forefront of using technology to drive innovative change across the government, commercial and non-profit sectors.  For Ambassador Speckhard's complete bio, click here.

Please plan to join us as Ambassador Speckhard discusses linkages among global poverty, climate change, conflict and migration; how these undermine political and economic security; and what we must do to adapt to this rapidly changing world.
