John Giraldo is Executive Vice President and Global Controller of NBCUniversal. NBCUniversal is one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, and marketing of entertainment, sports and news. NBCUniversal owns and operates a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment television networks, premier motion picture studios, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.
Prior to joining NBCU, Mr. Giraldo held the role of Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Endeavor, formerly known as WME-IMG. Endeavor is one of the world's largest talent agencies as well as being a global leader in sports (owner of UFC), events, media and fashion. Prior to Endeavor, he held various senior accounting officer and controllership roles at a number of media companies including AMC Networks, Scholastic, MTV/Viacom, New Line Cinema/Time Warner and Major League Soccer.
He began his career in 1990 at Ernst & Young LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from CUNY, Queens College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Today, Mr. Giraldo serves as a member of the board of directors of Media Finance Management Association (MFM), which is a not-for-profit professional association for business and finance executives in the media industry, as well as the Executive Alumni Association of the New York office of Ernst & Young LLP.
In both 2014 and 2015, he was recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Minorities in Cable television by CableFAX, the leading cable industry publication.
