Cherene Powell

Cherene Powell is a Managing Director with Accenture Strategy where she has dedicated her 20-year career to helping Fortune 1000 companies to architect and execute transformational initiatives.  This includes operating model, cost optimization, and technology strategy and transformation to provide fuel for her client’s growth ambitions and operational efficiency goals.  The scope of her expertise includes defining strategy and architecting transformation journeys, including workforce and culture transformation.

Ms. Powell is presently the Global Lead for Accenture Strategy’s Digital Finance business where she partners with CFO’s to define the future of finance including the impact of digitization, globalization, and innovation in service delivery.  In this role, she is a recognized thought leader having published multiple articles including features in CFO.com and she is a frequent speaker at CFO forums. She is also the North America Lead for Accenture Strategy’s CFO & Enterprise value practice.

She has a natural passion for leadership development and gender parity in the workplace. She serves as the North America Lead for Inclusion & Diversity for Accenture Strategy.  She is also recognized internally for her leadership impact including being named as a 2016 industry Luminary by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

She graduated from the College of St. Benedict / St. John’s University with a double degree in Political Science and Communication.  She has continued her higher education with programs at Northwestern Kellogg School of Business, the University of Chicago-Booth, and MIT.
