Barbara Michael

Barbara Michael is the Vice President of Government Compliance for Perspecta Inc. (“Perspecta”). Perspecta is a top five services provider to the U.S. government covering the full spectrum of IT services with approximately $4.2 billion in combined revenues and a highly skilled workforce of more than 14,000 employees. Perspecta became a separate, independent, publicly-traded IT services company on June 1, 2018, following the combination of the DXC Technology U.S. Public Sector business with Vencore, Inc. and KeyPoint Government Solutions. Ms. Michael is responsible for ensuring that the company maintains policies, practices and procedures that are compliant with procurement laws and regulations, while adhering to disclosed practices and operational requirements. She and her team are responsible for the development, submission, and audit support of Perspecta’s CAS Disclosure Statements and Incurred Cost Submissions.

Prior to transitioning to Perspecta, Ms. Michael was the Vice President of Government Compliance & Internal Audit for Vencore, Inc., and formerly part of the Government Compliance organization within Lockheed Martin’s IS&GS Business Area and Corporate Headquarters. Ms. Michael spent the first 18 years of her career in DCAA as an auditor, Restructuring and ICAPS Technical Specialist, and Supervisory Auditor. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland. Ms. Michael is the current Chair of the Financial Executives International Committee on Government Business, and served as a member of the CAS Team (Team 9) supporting the 809 Panel.
