James Parrish is an assistant professor of information technology at the University of North Texas (UNT) where he conducts research in the areas of cybersecurity and knowledge management. Prior to coming to UNT in 2017, he held faculty positions at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Nova Southeastern University where he was the chair of the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity.
Parrish earned a BSBA, MS, and Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Central Florida. He has served on several boards including the Association for Information Systems and the South Florida Technology Alliance, an industry consortium promoting the technology ecosystem in South Florida
