Kate performs SOC 1 & 2 Readiness Assessments, SOC Examinations, Internal Controls consulting, and IT Risk Assessments to clients, primarily in the technology and healthcare industries. Kate provides security expertise to companies across various stages of growth – from pre-revenue to pre-IPO. Kate started her career in the Risk Assurance group at PwC where she performed external SOX Audits and SOC Examinations. She founded a CPA firm providing SOX Readiness, Internal Audit, and IT Compliance services to public and large private companies in Austin prior to joining Maxwell Locke & Ritter in 2018.
