However, despite the budget cuts and overall slowdown, technology is expected to play a major role in reshaping the communications and overall efficiency of how the government is running its business.
There's no better person to speak on this subject, than our keynote speaker for November- Ms. Teri Takai, CIO for the State of California , sixth largest economy in the world. Since her appointment as the Chief Information Officer for the State of CA, Ms. Takai has launched a series of initiatives and is championing the new role of IT as a backbone for increasing the efficiency of the government.
